This app is all alike droidsheep with different UI. The main difference is that in droidsheep the captured cookies are opened by inbuilt browser within app but in faceniff you should open via stock browsers such as google chrome,firefox,etc.

Some terms and their meaning:-

1)Password sniffing:- If any device connected to same network as yours, access the sites other than secured sites( like facebook) which use ‘https’ instead of http, and enter username and password, then the username and password are captured.

2)Session Hijacking:- This is a process of stealing cookies. Whenever you access the same site you already accessed many times, then browser sends your browsing behaviour, username and password itself so that you dont need to repeat same process again and again, and those things are called cookies which is stolen in this process. You can then access to someone’s account without knowing their username and password.

3)Image Replacing:-All the images in the victim’s device are replaced by a single Image which you have set. It means you set a certain Image which will replace all other images. You can prank people with this feature.

4)MITM:- Short form of Man In The Middle. As the fullform itself suggests, it is a attack in which the attacker stays between server and victim’s device and sniff password, hijack sesson, etc. This attack is done by tricking the victim’s device that your device is server. So that the victim’s device sends data to your device and after sniffing passwords or doing its job your device redirects to the original server so that victim never knows what happened.
